Yay it's dooooooone :D!

This is the final version of the WIP I submitted earlier -> . Teheheee I'm very happy with how this came out c: ! I stylized the BG to fit my colouring / shading style. I think I'm going to do my BG's like this from now on, realistic backgrounds are just too hard lol.

Okie so :), this is my oooooold OC Shylan <33. He isn't too pleased at the moment hehee. I feel like I haven't draw him in so long XD. That swirly thing up there is a portal, he has the ability to summon portals and travel to different realms ^^. Shylan lives in sort of a Final Fantasy type of world, I have some what of a story for him but I don't want to make a comic. I might write it down someday, but for now it's just in my head lol.

Let me know if it's too dark / too light / w.e XD. My screen tends to be lighter than most of yours :).

Ooh! And the title / art was inspired by this song -> [link] :D.

Firstly, your choice of central compositional focus has really been played well because of how you developed your background. I really enjoy looking around the page, blending simplicity and detail; especially the spikes coming out of the ground. The rocks look awesome, too.

The focus is crazy - I LOVE this character design. I enjoy a rather simple approach to alot of my designs, but I do occasionally like to throw some crazy detail in there, and you did it so well that it's hard NOT to get stuck on the character. The shading is wonderful, and the atmosphere is dark and menacing. Excellent rendition!

The only thing I would probably change is the very far back, with the vortex (?) spitting out lightening. I love the lightning, but I'm not sure what the vortex is. It's just kind of there, and I'm not sure what to do with it my head (except imagine it swirling). A description of it definitely helps, but I also think if you made the clouds (?) fluffier looking, or at least more punctual (although it is a background), you'd really bring out that menacing angry yellow hurricane omnipotence.

All in all, I do love this picture. Great work! :heart:

I must say this is absolutely amazing. Everything goes so well and really makes the character stand out.

That background looks gorgeous and really matches the character, I especially like how you did the rocks and sky

The anatomy and perspective on the character are really good too, I really like his pose as well.

The shading and lighting look fantastic, especially the shading on the character.

And that portal thing looks awesome, it looks like he's about to just warp out of there any second, or that he just popped in and is ready for a battle.

I also noticed how well you made the character really stand out, his pose and even his markings add a bit of color to the pic that really just make him emerge from the pic.

Overall I don't see any flaws in this pic. and everything looks just incredible

lol I drew it in a full circle and then I used the radial blur to make it all even, and then I reduced the scale to make it flat-ish XD
im not very good at explaining things ^^;
